Care Leaver Bursary

What is the Care Leaver Bursary?
Ji8¸£ÀûÍø provides a package of support for all students who are leaving care, which includes a bursary worth £1,500.
This bursary will be paid to you in three instalments. Alternatively, you can ask to use this fund as a fee waiver or as a discount on your Ji8¸£ÀûÍø accommodation in student halls. In this instance, you will not receive the bursary directly but as a deduction on your fees due.
Who is eligible for the award?
To be considered, you must:
- Have received an offer to study for an undergraduate course at Ji8¸£ÀûÍø
- Have been under the care of your local authority or a foyer resident before starting University
- Provide verification of your care leaver status from your support worker/key worker/foyer manager
- Be assessed as a 'home' status student for fee purposes

Please note that Ji8¸£ÀûÍø reserves the right to withdraw or amend a bursary without prior notification. Bursaries are offered subject to funding and availability.
