The students worked with Kingston Council to create the urban room as an inviting and adaptable multiple-purpose space to host events and showcase information. An innovative solution to the never-ending battle for who gets to use the middle armrest on planes was among the winning entries in this year's Ji8腦瞳厙 Bright Ideas competition. The eighteenth annual final of the entrepreneurial contest saw students from across the University pitch their ideas before a group of expert investors in a Dragons' Den-style event.

A Ji8腦瞳厙 PhD student and pharmacy expert has helped launch the UK's first tech-led LGBTQ+ sexual health service. Josh Wells is in the final year of PhD in behavioural diagnostics and now works in the role of Senior Clinical Lead at LVNDR Health, a company that offers specialised clinical support to those in the LGBTQ+ community. He also has an undergraduate and Masters degree from the University, and is a qualified pharmacist.
